Hello everyone! Who wouldn’t want to get two cards when you are working with a gorgeous stamp like the Orchid Rose Bouquet?!! With a little bit of planning, we can make good use of our time and create two rather than one card. This stamp is perfectly sized for a pair of mini slimlines!
The image was stamped on 6 1/2" square of Bristol Smooth card stock and heat embossed with Ink on 3's embossing powder. I could have chosen to paint the full image before breaking it down into the smaller panels but I wanted different colour palettes for each one. The second largest die in Simon's Mini Slimline Rectangles was used to create the two panels.
The images were faux water coloured with Zig Real Brush markers. On one panel the orchid was painted with Purple and Deep Red and the Roses with Pale Rose. On the other one, Pink and Yellow were used on the orchids and Bright Yellow and Lemon Yellow on the roses. The leaves were painted with Marine Green on both panels.
The panels were mounted on foam and matted on matte gold card stock. The card bases are of black card stock measuring 3 1/2" by 6 1/2". The sentiment, Simon's Miss You, was die cut from black card stock, matte gold card stock and black foam. The gold frame and black words were stacked on the foam die cut. The cards were embellished with gold confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
