I have a set of cards using a beautiful sentiment stamp set, Birthday Wishes, accompanied by a two piece die set, Celebrate. The repeat stamping technique is a quick and easy way to create multiple cards.
Four colourways were selected with five tones of card stock for each colour. The card stock was cut into strips measuring 4” by 3/4”. Seven strips will be used to create a card front panel that is 4” by 5 1/4”. I love the separate words in different fonts that make up the Birthday Wishes stamp set. The design of this product allows for maximum flexibility to configure the sentiments for birthdays or other celebrations!
The repeat stamping technique is done easily with a stamping platform but could also be hand stamped. The sentiments were lined up on a stamping platform and each of the 7 strips were stamped. So fast!
The strips of stamped card stock were laid out in a colour design … first the 5 colours of the card stock followed by repeating the first and second colour strips for a total of 7 pieces of cards stock.
The strips will be adhered to an slightly oversized panel of card stock with double sided tape.
After the strips are adhered, the panel was trimmed down to card front size, 4” by 5 1/4” and mounted on sheet foam of the same size.
The foam backed panels were adhered to A2 sized card bases matted with black card stock.
The primary sentiment, Celebrate, includes a shadow die with the scripty one. Black card stock was cut four times with the shadow die and stacked.
The script sentiment was cut from glitter card stock in the same colourway for each card.
A secondary sentiment from the newly released Sparkle and Dance stamp set was stamped in black ink and clear embossed. The sentiment was cut into a strip and adhered with foam squares under the CELEBRATE sentiment.
The sentiments were highlighted with confetti, again, matching the colourway for each card, and finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
