Hello friends! Alex Syberia Designs has a new release and it is gorgeous. I have a pair of cards using a very unique die, Urban Blooms. This die creates partial die cuts! The petals can be popped up to add a beautiful dimensional quality. I have two cards using different mediums; dye inks and alcohol markers. One is coloured quickly and the other takes a bit more time. I will leave it to you to guess which one is which! LOL!
The card front panels were were cut with the Urban Blooms Die. The die was positioned fully on white card stock in the upper portion of the panel. For the other card, pink cardstock was cut using jus areas of the die. It was positioned two times in the upper and lower left sid of the panel.
A protective scrap of cardstock was slipped behind each petal as it was coloured.
The petals on the pink panel were coloured with Fresh Dye Inks. Blush Rose was applied to the base and the petals’ edges were finished off with Cloud White.
The Copic coloured flowers were completed in three different palettes; YR68, 65 & 61, BG78, 75 & 72 and BG18, 15 & 11.
The panel were splattered with white opaque watercolour using a fan brush.
Adhesive was applied to the flower centres and Gilt Trip Prills (gold) were used to add texture to the pink blooms and multicoloured ones were added to the other card. I used Gourd but was unable to find it so provided a link to a good substitute;
On the back of the panels, small foam squares were added to each of the petals. Liquid adhesive was applied to the background. The pink panel was adhered to gold foil card stock and then to an A2 sized card base. The other panel was adhered directly to an A2 sized, black card base. Please see video.
Additional white droplet accents were added with Nuvo Crystal Drops Simply White.
The cards were embellished with either clear iridescent or satin gold confetti finished off with Nuvo Krystal Drops Morning Dew.
The sentiments from Bloom Die and Hello & Thank You Die Set were mounted on foam die cuts.
