Hello everyone! Altenew’s Build-A-Garden for April, Morning Glory is a gorgeous floral set. It consists of a 4" x 6" stamp set, coordinating dies and stencil set and a mini blending brush. The main image is supported with 11 beautiful sentiments … perfect for tailoring cards for many occasions.
The image and sentiment were stamped with black Versafine ink on Bristol Smooth card stock.
The colouring was completed with the stencil set using the mini blending brush that accompanied the kit and also Micro Blending Brush Set.
The coordinating stencils were used to colour the Morning Glory image. The pink flowers were coloured with Rose Quartz and Puffy Heart. Dusk and Ocean Waves were used for the blue ones. Warm Sunshine completed the flower centres.
The foliage was done up with Eucalyptus, Forest Glades and Frayed Leaf.
The coordinating dies were used to cut the images, sentiment and white sheet foam. Both the sentiment and image were stacked.
Side panels were created using Canson XL Water Colour paper about 2 1/2” by 5 1/2”. The panels were coloured with powdered pigments by Lindy’s Magicals. For the pink card, Rambin’ Rose was used with an addition of white gouache to soften the colour and for the blue card, Tibetan Poppy Teal.
When dry, both panels were spattered with white gouache.
A panel of white card stock measuring 51/2” by 2 3/4” was adhered to white foam.
The pigment powder panels were adhered to the left hand side of A2 sized card bases and the white foam backed panels were adhered on right hand side overlapping it.
The foam backed flowers were adhered to the white panel so it would overhang the powder pigment panel. The sentiment was adhered to the right hand side if the card.
The card was finished off with white and clear crystals from Radiant Gems Enamel Dots and Nuvo Crystal Drops Simply White.
