Altenew’s Craft Your Life Project Kit for April: Rustic Charm

Hello friends! Altenew’s Craft Your Life Project Kits are fantastic consisting of a large stamp set, a coordinating die set, stencil set and a 3D embossing folder! April’s kit, Rustic Charm, is gorgeous with its garden themed images and heartfelt sentiments. I love it!

  • Four branches and the bird were stamped with Permanent Black Ink.

  • The stencil set was used to colour the images. Because there are mirror images of the branch, the back side of the stencil was used to colour two of the four.

  • The branch was coloured with Paper Bag, Dark Chocolate, Frayed Leaf, Evergreen, Forest Glades, Caramel Toffee and Peach Perfect.

  • The bird was done up in Buttercream, Peach Perfect, Paper Bag, Caramel Toffee, Warm Sunshine, Dark Chocolate and Black.

  • The images were cut with the coordinating dies. The die for the branch was used to cut gold foil card stock and the branches were adhered offset to them. Black sheet foam was also cut with this die and the branches stacked.

  • The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink on a dark green panel measuring 4” by 5 1/4” and gold embossed.

  • The foam backed branches were adhered to the panel and the overhang trimmed off. The bird was adhered with foam squares.

  • The panel was adhered to a gold foil matted, black, A2 sized card base and embellished with gold pearls.

  • For this card, the floral image was stamped two times with Permanent Black Ink.

  • The small rose was stencilled with Lavender Fields and Soft Lilac. The large rose was done up in Deep Iris and Midnight Violet. For the foliage, Frayed Leaf, Evergreen and Forest Glades were used.

  • The images and white sheet foam were cut with the coordinating die and stacked.

  • An A2 sized card base was covered in black card stock and a white panel measuring 4 1/8” by 5 3/8” was centred on it.

  • The two bouquets were temporarily placed to position the sentiment. It was stamped with Midnight Violet ink.

  • The foam backed florals were adhered to to opposite corners of the card and allowed to overhang the card base. The overhang was trimmed off.
