Altenew’s Mushroom Garden Layering Stencil Set and Mushroom Greetings Stamp Set

Hello everyone! It is mushroom harvest time and so today's post is all about .... you guessed it! Mushrooms!!! I have four card examples using some of Altenew's September 2023 newly released products ... Mushroom Garden Layering Stencil Set, MushroomGreetings Stamp Set and Mushroom Greetings Die Set! These products are so 'mush' fun to work with!

  • The first pair of cards feature the Mushroom Garden Layering Stencil Set and is a TWO FOR ONE deal! The mushroom back ground was stencilled on a 6 by 6" panel of white card stock.

  • The four stencil layers in this set were inked with Altenew Ink and applied with small blending brushes. For the first layer I used Cotton Candy, Deep Iris, Soft Lilac and Lava Rock.

  • For the second layer, Lava Rock, Cotton Candy and Deep Iris.

  • Frayed Leaf, Black and Lava Rock was applied for layer three.

  • For the fourth layer, I used Forest Glades and Midnight Violet.

  • The panel was cut into two panels measuring 5 1/4" by 2 3/4" and put along side either a pink or violet card stock panel measuring 5 1/4" by 1 1/4". Scotch tape was used to hold the two together and it was adhered to a gold foil matted, A 2 sized card base.

  • The sentiment from Mushroom Greetings Stamp Set was stamped on white card stock. Both the sentiment and foam were cut with the coordinating die and stacked. The sentiment and either lavender or pink half pearls were adhered to the card..

  • This card was completed the same as the other two but the stencilling was done on a kraft card stock panel.

  • Layer 1 - Peach Perfect, Caramel Toffee, Lavender Fields

  • Layer 2 - Dark Chocolate, Cotton Candy

  • Layer 3 - Frayed Leaf, Paper Bag

  • Layer 4 - inked with Versamark and gold embossed, Forest Glades

  • The panel was cut to measure 5 1/4"by 2 3/4" and put along side either a dark brown card stock panel measuring 5 1/4" by 1 1/4".

  • The sentiment from Mushroom Greetings Stamp Set was stamped on brown card stock with Versamark ink and gold embossed. Both the sentiment and foam were cut with the coordinating die and stacked. The sentiment and gold half pearls were adhered to the card..

  • A colour wash background was created using Mijella Mission Gold water colours on Canson XL Water Colour Paper.

  • When the panel was completely dry, it was cut with Fine Frames Cover Die. I removes every other frames and the rectangle, mounted on foam, and four frames were adhered to a dark brown matted, A2 size Kraft card base. The frames are delicate and I ran them back and forth several times through the die cutter.

  • Gold foil card stock was cut with the Burlap Texture Die. The die cut was adhered on an angle on the foam backed rectangle.

  • The mushrooms and sentiment from MushroomGreetings Stamp Set were stamped Versamark Ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.

  • The coordinating die set was used to cut the mushrooms, sentiment and black sheet foam. They were stacked.

  • The mushrooms and sentiment were adhered and gold foil pearls completed the card.
