Hello everyone! It is plenty hot here like everywhere else. How about a mental break from the excessive heat with a Christmas in July card! My card features a gorgeous stencil and die set by Alex Syberia Designs, Holiday Wreath & Branch. I love the beautifully layered images in this set. Between the two images, I chose to stencil the wreath and did it up in cooling blue tones. This is a QUICK & EASY card that includes an ink blending hack for the background.
For a quick ink blended background … yes, there is such a thing! …. I began with teal card stock cut 4 1/4” by 5 1/2”. Pawsitively Saturated Inks Ocean and Surf were applied darkest to lightest around the perimeter of the panel leaving the centre without ink. Distress Oxide Ink Black Soot was applied just around the edges. The panel was spattered with Spatter White Opague Water Color.
The wreath from Holiday Wreath & Branch Stencil & Die Set was stencilled with Surf and a pigment white ink for the two layers of leaves. Ocean was used for the stems and Cherry for the berries.
The wreath and foam were cut with the coordinating die and stacked.
The panel was adhered to a black, A2 sized card base and then the foam back wreath centred on it.
The sentiments are from Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set. The main sentiment, Christmas was stamped with Ocean ink on light blue card stock. The sentiment and black foam were cut with the coordinating die. The sentiment was stacked and adhered across the wreath. The secondary sentiment was stamped in black below the wreath on the card front.
