Hello friends! Altenew has released an incredible 8 1/2” by 11” stamp set, Flutter & Bloom. The coordinating dies, stencil set and embossing folder take this stamp set to the next level. The images are gorgeous… big bloom bouquets, butterflies and, of course, many heart warming sentiments.
I began with a stamping and stencilling session that would result in four cards. The only image that was stamped twice was the side view butterfly. The images were stamped on white card stock with black ink and stencilled using small and mini blending brushes with Fresh Dye Inks:
Large Floral - Mauve, Berrylicious, Açai Berry, Silver Sage, Jade, Citrus Burst
Small Floral - Dew Drops, Aqualicious, Galactic Stream, Firefly, Shadow Creek, Citrus Burst
Side View Butterfly 1 - Citrus Burst, Honey Drizzle, Green Gold, Firefly, Shadow Creek, Mountain Pine
Side View Butterfly 2 - Icy Lemonade, Oolong Tea, Citronella, Green Gold, Mountain Pine, Coral Berry
Front View Butterfly - Green Gold, Citronella, Dew Drops, Aqualicious, Galactic Stream
The coordinating dies were used to cut all of the images. The dies for the butterflies and the small floral were also used to cut foam.
The large floral was trimmed to fit the Flutter & Blloom 3D Embossing Folder. Both the floral and butterfly were embossed. The butterfly was mounted on a foam die cut. Basket Weave Press ‘n’ Foil Plate was inked with a combination of Citronella and Paper Bag and run through the die cutter with the BetterPress System. The panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base and the floral mounted on the upper left corner. The sentiment from Timeless Sentiments 2 was cut from to shades of pink card stock and stacked offset. It was adhered to the card front with the foam backed butterfly hovering over top.
White card stock was pressed using Foliage Fiesta Press ‘n’ Foil Plate with the BetterPress System without ink and trimmed to 4 1/4” wide and 3 1/2” tall. It was adhered to foam and teal glitter washi tape was added to the bottom of the panel before mounting it to an A2 sized card base. The foam mounted floral was adhered to card front. Where it extends beyond the pressed panel, foam squares were added. The sentiment was stamped and embellished with Deep Sea Sapphire Gem Sparkles.
Cream coloured card stock was stencilled with the Cascading Vines Stencil Set. The leaves inked with a combination of Eucalyptus and Cloud White and the stems in Jade. The panel was trimmed to 4” x 5 1/4” and adhered to a black, A2 sized card base. The sentiment was stamped with Forest Fern. The butterfly was stacked on a foam dye cut, and adhered to the card front. The card was embellished with Nature’s Wonders Enamel Dots.
White card stock was pressed using Foliage Fiesta Press ‘n’ Foil Plate with the BetterPress System. The plate was inked with Galactic Stream, Aqualicious and Dew Drops. It was trimmed to 4 1/4” and 5 1/2” and mounted on an A2 Sized card base. A floating sentiment was created by sandwiching two foam die cuts between the vellum shadow using Timeless Sentiments 2. The butterfly was also stacked on a foam die cut and adhered to the card front.
