Hello, everyone! Happy Easter! I have a pair of slimline cards featuring the new Colour Block Cloudscape. These layered clouds provide a perfect back drop to incorporate an easy swinging, interactive element using the sweet bunny from a recent Small Die of the Month, Floating Bunny ... super cute!
One bunny was constructed from white card stock and the other from ivory. Some shading was done with Distress Oxide inks. One bunny was placed on the swing element and the other holding a grouping of balloons.
A panel of Bristol Smooth card stock measuring 8 1/2" by 3 1/2" was inked with Simon Says Stamp's Pawsitively Saturated inks with a blender brush. One of the dies from Spellbinders' Universal Curved Borders and the individual flowers and leaves were die cut from Bristol Smooth card stock. Two sections of the border were cut down for one card and one section for the other. The panels and individual pieces were inked with Pawsitively Saturated inks. Four sections of clouds were cut for each card and the edges were inked lightly.
For the card above, one portion of the floral border was adhered directly to the card front. The second one was adhered with foam tape. The four clouds were layered and attached to the card. The edges of the clouds were embellished with Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard. the single flowers and leaves were added to the foreground and yellow confetti was added to the flower centres. A few additional pink confetti were scattered around the floral landscape. Thin foam strips were placed on either end of the interactive hinge and it was adhered to the card centring the opening over the small circle die cut. Two small foam squares were stacked on the die cut circle. Before adding the bunny and balloons, double stacked foam squares topped with a piece of card stock was added to the bunny's body and the two outside balloons to keep the image level as it moves. The balloons were coated with Nuvo Crystal Glaze and additional confetti was added to the sky. All of the confetti was finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
This card was constructed in the same way with two exceptions. Only one portion of the floral border was adhered to the card with foam tape. The swinging mechanism wa placed under the clouds. The cloud panel was adhered with foam strips placed on the top and the sides.
The sentiments from Layered Mix & Match Sentiments were stacked on foam die cuts.
