Family Scrapbook Layout featuring Spellbinder’s Storytelling Collection

Hello friends! I have something a little different from what I usually share. This 12 by 12 scrapbook layout features some of my family highlighted with Spellbinders’ Storytelling Collection. The main sentiment was created with Family Die Set and the sweet secondary ones with Family Sentiments Press Plate and Die Set. Of course, the star of the show (besides my family😉) is the large and gorgeous Stitched Petal Bloom Die Set.

  • For this layout, I die cut the two flower centers, seven petals and five leaves. Each of the elements have both a detail and an outline die. The design was created using palette of light & dark sage, creamy yellow, soft brown and shades of pink.

  • The stitching was completed with metallic gold embroidery thread.

  • The layout was built on a 12 by12 dark sage panel. Another panel, 8 by 8, of creamy yellow card stock was centred on the large panel.

  • The 8 by 8 panel was edged with 1/4” gold glitter Washi tape. The corners were mitred.

  • The photo was layered onto gold glitter and brown card stock and adhered to the bottom, right side of the panel.

  • The main sentiment using the Family Die Set was cut from both gold glitter and brown card stock. It was adhered left to the photo.

  • Three sentiments from the Family Sentiments Press Plate and Die Set Family were pressed in black on the yellow card stock using the BetterPress System. The sentiments were cut with the coordinating dies.

  • One of these sentiments was adhered to the photo, another below the main sentiment and the third reserved for the top of the layout.

  • The stitched petals from Stitched Petal Bloom were adhered to the panel tucking two pairs of leaves under a couple of the petals The two flower centres were adhered with glue dots.

  • A flower from the Large Die of the Month was adhered over the top corner of the photo with one of the stitched leaves tucked under it.

  • The 3D butterfly stickers from the Moonlight Butterflies set were added into the design.

  • The layout was completed with pink gems.
