A card bursting with flowers featuring shaped, die cut Delicate Asters from Heartfelt Creations. With all the time I get to spend in the craft room these days, it is fun to revisit techniques and products that I haven't used for a while. I hope you enjoy this CELEBRATION OF SPRING!
The Flowers ....
Nuvo Shimmer Powders were used on watercolour paper to create a colourful backdrop to die cut the the flowers and leaves. Each flower is comprised of two layers of petals and a flower centre. I used Mcgill's medium ball tool and their molding mat to shape the flowers. Black Nuvo Crystal Drops completed each flower .... although I changed things up here!!!
The Background ....
I used a scalloped die to cut the base from watercolour paper. A white cardstock grid was die cut using Ellentina's Medium Grid. I trimmed the grid down to sit within the scalloped edges of the base. The edges were masked and Nuvo Shimmer Powders were used to create a colourful background for the flowers. After the base was dry, the grid was attached.
Putting It All Together ....
The sentiment, Spring Blessings, was die cut from both card stock and white sheet foam. The flowers and leaves were positioned to frame the lower, corner placement of the sentiment. The sentiment was painted with Nuvo Glitter Drops. I decided to change the black flower centres to Sprinkles! Chunky Glitter. The base was attached to an A2 sized card base.
