Hello everyone! I have a pair of Christmas cards using Spellbinders’ Glimmer Hot Foil System. If you have this system, you will understand what I mean when I say it is addictive … the foiled results are different from reactive transfer (laminator) or adhesive foil techniques. The hot foiled image is letterpressed … a subtle impression. It is gorgeous! Today’s cards feature Spellbinders’ Pinstripe Bracket Card Builder.
I foiled oversized pieces of white and pink card stock with matte gold foil. The panel was trimmed to the width of the A2 card base … 5 1/2” and die cut with the scalloped frame. This die was also used to cut sheet foam for the panel to be adhered to and matte gold card stock. This die cut produces a delicate finishing edge that was adhered to the pinstriped panel.
White die cut panels were created for both cards that were added directly to the card bases. For the white/gold card, a panel die was cut from Stitched Card Front, Border and Flower. For the other card, the panel was cut was from Lovely Card Creator.
Flower and leaf dies were used from Universal Curved Border Set to cut elements from matte gold and white glitter card stock. Gold and clear iridescent confetti topped with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew were used in the flower centres. The sentiment, from Spellbinders’ Silent Night Make A Scene, was die cut from matte gold card stock and stacked on foam.
