Introducing Altenew’s New Fresh Dye Ink Colours for July

Hello friends! Altenew has released three colour families of Fresh Dye Inks. Each one has four gradient colours … Tea Party in pretty pinks, dusky blue tones in Northern Shore and Warm Grays with their soft muted undertones. The colours are dreamy … I am loving each one and have used them to create cards with a number of new products from the July Release.

I love how beautifully these three colour palettes work together. For the Stencil Art: White Cap Peony card, I used the inks from Tea Party and Warm Gray. The Sulphur Cosmos card features Warm Gray and Northern Shore. The third card, Daisy Craze, was inked with Northern Shore and Tea Party.

Sulphur Cosmos

This card features the Build-A-Garden: Sulphur Cosmos and Add-On Die. This stamp has a large cosmos floral and lots of sentiments and has a coordinating stencil set.

  • The floral image and sentiment were stamped with black ink on white card stock.

  • The stencils were used to colour the image. The flower petals were inked with Polar Bear, Icy Water and Winter Lake from the Northern Shore collection. Evening Gray and Moon Rock from the Warm Gray inks were used to colour the stems and leaves. The flower centres were compiled with Citrus Burst and Maple Yellow.

  • The stencil set also comes with a background. All of the inks from Warm Gray were applied lightest to darkest on a panel of white card stock. The panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base.

  • The coordinating dies were used to cut the image and sentiment. The dies were also used to cut foam and they were stacked an adhered to the card front. The excess from the large floral was trimmed off.

  • The centres of the tile motif on the background were completed with silver gems from Metallic Gold & Silver Gem Sparkles.

White Cap Peony

Stencil Art: White Cap Peony is a six piece stencil set that has an Add-On Die.

  • The peonies were stencilled on white card stock. The flower petals were coloured with Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Berry Mocha and Heart Beat from the Tea Party collection. Evening Gray, Moon Rock and Morning Frost from the Warm Gray inks were used to colour the stems and leaves. The flower centres were compiled with Citrus Burst, Maple Yellow, Honey Drizzle and Green Gold.

  • The coordinating die was used to cut both the image and foam. It was stacked.

  • The Add-On Die comes with a ‘thanks’ sentiment die. It was used to cut soft pink card stock and foam. The sentiment was stacked and adhered over the leaves.

  • Soft pink card stock was trimmed to 4” by 5 1/4” an embossed with Raised Sentiments 3D Embossing Folder. It was adhered to an A2 sized cardboard base and the peony mounted on top. The bottom of the stem was trimmed flush to the card base.

Daisy Craze

Daisy Craze creates a fun background with four stencils in the set. The new inks used for this card were from Tea Party and Northern Shore.

  • Working on an A2 sized, white panel, Pink Pearl was applied to stencil 1.

  • For stencil 2, Coral Bliss and Winter Lake were used.

  • Icy Water was applied to stencil 3.

  • Heart Beat, Citrus Burst and Honey Drizzle were used to complete the stencilling with stencil 4. The panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base.

  • The sentiment from Sulphur Cosmos was stamped with Heart Beat and the coordinating die was used to cut it and foam. They were stacked and adhered to the card front.
