Hello friends! Spellbinders has introduced new die cutters … the Platinum 6 and Scout Die Cutting & Embossing Machines Bundle or the Scout on its own. The Plarinum 6 is regularly sized and the Scout is compact featuring a 3.5" cutting platform! It is a condensed, portable version of the regularly sized machine. Perfect for crops or getting together with friends for a crafty day! No more lugging big, heavy die cutters! Both machines are available in white or lilac shimmer … take a wild guess which one I chose? How could I resist?!
Todays’ cards feature a number of sweet die sets from the Out & About Collection. These dies are perfectly sized for the Scout. How awesome to be able to sit comfortably at your crafting table, do your die cutting and then simply set the machine off to the side when you’re done. This little powerhouse has more benefits than being portable! It is convenient for those of us who would rather sit while we die cut.
Dancin’ In The Rain
Dancin’ In the Rain is a sweet die set that produces an easy, interactive card. The dies were used to cut coloured card stock and the die cuts assembled. To create the shaped card base, the large die from Arch Labels & Tag was used to cut white card stock that was folded in half. The die was positioned so the top the arch was overhanging the crease before die cutting. Using the same die, indigo card stock was cut and adhered to the shaped card base. A smaller die was used to cut Bristol Smooth Card Stock and foam. The panel was ink blended with Distress Oxide inks Hickory Smoke, Shaded Lilac, Ripe Persimmon and Squeezed Lemonade. It was mounted on the foam die cut and adhered to the card front. The sentiment from Happy Birthday Wishes was adhered and the interactive figure mounted. The card was finished off with the duck and raindrops topped off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
Luna The Seahorse
Isn’t Luna the Seahorse adorable! I thought she would look sweet showcased in Simon’s Snow Globe. The base of the globe was cut from teal card stock and the the globe ink blended with Mermaid Lagoon, Salvaged Patina and Hickory Smoke. Some images from Water You Up To Stamp Set were stamped in blues and greens in the background and the sentiment from this set was stamped on the globe base. Luna was cut from a light teal card stock and the seaweed and starfish from teals and coral. Luna was mounted on a afoam die cut and dhered to the globe. The globe was adhered to a teal card base with a panel of white card stock embossed with Classic Backdrop 3D Embossing Folder. The globe was embellished with Peridot Color Essential Gems.
MUSHROOM MANSION & GARDEN BUDDIES
How cute is this gnome! The elements from Garden Buddies and Mushroom Mansion were cut from coloured card stock and assembled. An arrangement was created and picked up with a piece of Press & Seal. Press and Seal should be available in a grocery store. Bristol Smooth Card Stock was ink blended with Pawsitively Saturated Inks Sping, Seafoam and Surf. The background was spattered with water and adhered to an A2 sized card base. The arrangement was foam mounted while it was on the Press and Seal and the adhered to the card front. Nuvo Drops were used to embellish some elements and Peridot Color Essential Gems were added to the scene. The card was finished off with a foam mounted sentiment using Everyday Sentiments.
Sprinkle & Grow and Happy Birthday Wishes
This sweet birthday card features Sprinkle & Grow and Happy Birthday Wishes. The patterned paper used on the card front, the watering can and the shadow die cuts for the sentiments are from Bayfair 6X6 Designer Paper Pad. The panel for the card front was cut with the die from Notched Corner Frames. This die and the next largest one were taped together to cut cream coloured cart stock to create a frame. The watering can with its floral arrangement was mounted on a foam die cut, and adhered to the window opening. The lettering for the sentiments were cut from cream coloured card stock and they were adhered to the patterned paper, shadow die cuts.
