Hello everyone! Do you need a card in a hurry or just want to make something easy and relaxing with a big impact? Working in a mini slimline format with embossed, ink blended backgrounds just doesn’t get any easier. The images in Simon’s MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS are perfect for QUICK AND EASY cards!
I began by die cutting 8 panels using the second largest die from Simon’s MINI SLIMLINE RECTANGLES from Bristol Smooth card stock. The panels were ink blended in pairs using Distress Oxide inks:
Black Soot, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers
Black Soot, Rustic Wilderness, Mermaid Lagoon
Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord
Black Soot, Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber
The panels were left to dry completely.
The MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS stamp set includes several stamps that are perfectly sized to use individually on a mini slimline format. I chose one design for each pair of cards. The image and main sentiment were stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with Ink On 3’s Gold Rush embossing powder. The secondary sentiment was stamped with Black Onyx Versafine ink.
Black card stock was die cut with the largest die from Simon’s MINI SLIMLINE RECTANGLES. The layered panels were mounted on card bases that measured 6 1/2” by 6 3/8” … the perfect size for Simon’s Mini Slimline envelopes.
Sequins and confetti topped with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew embellish the Cards. To add sparkle, a thin layer of Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard was painted on the images. I needed these cards to go in the mail the next day and so I showed restraint with the addition of the Nuvo Drops!
