MAKE IT AGAIN MONDAY featuring Picket Fence Studio’s More Hot Chicks

Updated: Sep 25, 2022

Hello everyone! Whenever I use a product or do a technique that I absolutely fall in love with, I will set the product or the card aside with the intentions of coming back to it. I seem to never have the time to come back to the things that I love ... or so I tell myself! So needless to say I have a little bit of a growing pile of things to revisit! It seems the only way I get things done is by scheduling it. So as a result, I am going to introduce MAKE IT AGAIN MONDAY; a bi-weekly Blog and YouTube post. These posts will be my way of sharing current and available products and techniques with you that I LOVE. I'm starting off with an absolutely adorable stamp by Picket Fence Studios, More Hot Chicks ... this is the cutest ever!

More Hot Chicks is classified by Picket Fence Studio's as a seamless stamp. This means it can be repeatedly stamped top to bottom or left to right and the images will be continuous to create any sized panel. I wanted to highlight this background and so stamped it just the one time.

  • The image was stamped in a stamping platform with Picket Fence Studio's Black Hybrid Ink. There is a lot of inking so I stamped it three times using a pressure tool to get an even impression.

  • The image was coated with clear embossing powder and melted with a heat tool ... the look of black embossing without those annoying black specks everywhere!

  • The chickens were Copic coloured using three colourways:

- E33, 30

- BG05,01

- G43, 40

  • The chickens' combs and wattles were coloured with R27.

  • The panel was trimmed down to 3 3/4" square and mounted on red card stock measuring 4" square.

  • The panel was mounted on the upper portion of an A2 sized, top folding card base leaving room for a sentiment.

  • The sentiment from another adorable stamp set, One Hot Chick, was stamped with the same hybrid black ink used for the background. Because the sentiment was stamped directly on the card base, I chose not to clear emboss it. No matter the precautions you take, there will always be a little bit of warping from the heat. No way to disguise that on a card base!

  • The card was finished off with lots of sparkly, green sequins from Bears in the Forest Sequin Plus Mix.
