Monochromatic Slimline Christmas Cards

Updated: Jan 12

Hello everyone! I have three monochromatic cards featuring two of Simon Says Stamp's Stamptember exclusives; Slimline Greetings and the Large Falling Snow stencil. The cute snowmen images are from Avery Elle, Snow Fun. I made the first card in shades of blue and then followed up with pink and purple colour schemes.

Bristol Smooth card stock was die cut with the largest plain die in Pinkfresh Studio's Slim Stitched Rectangles. Using My Favorite Things' Drift and Hills stencil, the sky was ink blended with Distress Oxide inks as follows:

Blue Card Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans

Purple Card Milled Lavender, Wilted Violet

Pink Card Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick

After the panels were dry, the images and sentiment were stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. Zig Real Brush Clean Color markers were used to colour the snowmen and the sentiment. I literally pulled all the markers associated with each card's colour choice! The snowmen were shaded with a light grey marker, and, of course, orange was used for the carrot nose! The little stick arms and sleigh were coloured mid brown. Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel was applied with Simon Says Stamp's Large Falling Snow stencil.

The panel was mounted on foam. Card stock was selected for each card to match the dark ink used to create the sky and cut with the largest die in Pinkfresh Studio's Slim Stitched Rectangles die set. The foam backed panel was mounted on the card stock and adhered to a card base sized 8 3/4" by 3 3/4".
