Hello, card making friends! Spellbinders has introduced not one but two new clubs this month; BetterPress Plate of the Month and, my feature post, Wax Seal of the Month featuring the gorgeous Poinsettia Joy. The kit includes the seal, wooden handle and coordinating wax beads. Wax seals are fun to make and, I might add, a little addictive! AND what a special touch to a card or envelope!

I am using Spellbinder's Wax Seal Starter Kit. This kit contains everything you need to started creating beautiful seals to embellish cards and envelopes; Wax warmer (You will need a tea light candle - not included.), warming spoon and a silicone to pour the wax on. Included is a beautiful wax seal stamp and wax beads.
I began by creating my seals; one from the crimson red wax included in the kit and the other with the red wax marbled with gold wax I received in the starter kit. Please see the VIDEO TUTORIAL for tips to create seals. The design was highlighted with a gold pen.
The backgrounds for each card were created with Embossing Folder of the Month. For the brown background, gold metallic thread was wrapped several times around the panel before adhering it to the A2 sized card base. The teal panel was wrapped with gold glitter washi tape.
The floral arrangements were created with Holiday Blooms Die Set. For the brown background, the elements were arranged in a circular fashion with the seal anchoring the centre of the arrangement.
For the teal background, the elements were arranged in a fan shape with the seal anchoring the base.
The cards were embellished with gold half pearls.
