Hello everyone! A Polar Bear Winter Celebration is one of those stamp sets that is super versatile. Whether you need a card for the holidays or a birthday, this stamp set has you covered with a variety of sentiments and adorable images. I have been making so many Christmas cards, I decided to change it up in favour of the NewYear!
The glacier from Glacier Scenery was stamped with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and clear embossed. The image was also stamped on masking paper and cut just inside the stamped line on the outside of the image to avoid any 'halos' when ink blending the background. The glacier was masked.
Post It Note Tape was used to mask off the horizon. Blender brushes were used to apply Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet Distreess Oxide inks to the sky.
Moving Air Stencil 6 X 6 was oriented vertically and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink was applied.
The Post It Tape Tape was shifted to the top of the line of horizon and Chipped Sapphire was applied to the sea. Moving Air Stencil 6 X 6 was oriented horizontally and Tumbled Glass applied.
The mask was removed and the glacier was shaded in the shadow areas with a blender brush and Tumbled Glass ink.
The polar bear duo was stamped with Hybrid Black Ink and clear embossed. They were Copic coloured simply:
Scarves - BG01, R 17
Bears - W1, 00 and the Colourless Blender. Ink was applied to the shadow areas.
The bears were cut with the coordinating dies.
The sentiment was stamped with Hybrid Black ink on cardstock lightly inked with Wilted Violet and clear embossed. The sentiment and black foam were cut with the coordinating die and stacked.
The panel was trimmed to card front size; 4" by 5 1/4".
The bears were foam mounted to the card front and the foam-Are youbacked sentiment attached.
After the panel was dry, the snowflakes were stamped using an acrylic block with Versamark ink and silver embossed. The fish were stamped in black and clear embossed.
The panel was adhered to an A2 sized, black card base.
The little snowflakes from Plum Pudding Sequin Mix were layered on the embossed ones and three clay snowflakes placed around the polar bears and sentiment.
