Hello everyone! Today’s post is all about little pops of rainbow colour featuring Spellbinders’ beautiful and versatile die set, Cinch & Go Blossoms . All rainbows make me happy … no matter the tone or configuration! For me, they signify hope and optimism. So here’s sending good vibes your way; one in soft pastels, the other bold and vibrant.
The layered die cut backgrounds were created with two Soellbinders’ die sets; Lovely Card Creator and Layered Stitched background. Spellbinders have many background dies that work well together. When other elements are being highlighted, in this case the flowers, the key is to keep the layers the same colour. The background will not compete wth the elements but still add lots of pretty detail. The layers were assembled on A2 sized card bases.
The flowers were die cut from Bristol Smooth card stock and inked with daubers using Distress Oxide inks
Tattered Rose, Dried Marigold, Scattered Straw, Peeled Paint, Tumbled Glass, Milled Lavender
Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Fossilized Amber, Mowed Lawn, Mermaid Lagoon, Villainous Potion
The two simple HELLO sentiments from Layered Mix & Match Sentiments was die cut from black and white card stock. The shadow die was used to cut Bristol Smooth cardstock and ink blended in ’rainbow’ using the same inks used for the flowers. The shadow die was used to cut foam to stack the sentiment. Rainbow confetti mixes, one is pastel, the other vivid, embellished around the flowers and the flower centres. The confetti was finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
