Hello everyone! Today's post is a celebration of colour! First I have an A2 sized card with the gorgeous Find Your Northern Lights stamp set. I fell in love with this set the minute I laid eyes on it. If you have never seen the Aurora Borealis, put it on your 'bucket list'! This natural light show is spectacular! My second card is a quick and easy card featuring a beautiful rainbow tree, Slimline Rectangle Tree Cover Plate.
Find Your Northern Lights
Three images of Find Your Northern Lights panel were stamped on a panel Bristol Smooth card stock wIth Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder.
The panel was blended with Distress Oxide inks Faded Jeans and Black Soot using Life Changing Blender Brushes. Using the Fine Life Changing Blender Brushes, Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade, Wilted Violet And Seedless Preserves was applied in vertical bands extending down from the embossed images. The ink was applied several times slightly overlapping the ink colours.
The panel was trimmed to 5 1/4" x 4".
White card was die cut with Scene Building Mountains . Using a mixed media spatula, Paper Glaze Arctic Fox was applied to give texture to both the foreground and the mountains. When dry, faded Jeans was applied to the mountains creating a gradient. This panel was adhered to the background.
The panel was then attached to an A2 sized, black matted card base.
The bear and 'ice tree' from A Polar Bear Christmas was stamped with black hybrid ink. The images were Copic coloured, cut with the coordinating dies and attached to the card with strips of foam tape.
The die cut sentiment from Santa's Hot Cocoa Mug was cut from white card stock and adhered to the sky.
Slimline Rectangle Tree Cover Plate
A panel of Bristol Smooth card stock was blended with Distress Oxide inks using Life Changing Blender Brushes; Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Sage Green, Tumbled Glass, Wilted Violet and Peacock feathers.
The panel was cut with Slimline Rectangle Tree Cover Plate adhered to black card stock and foam backed. The panel was trimmed to 8 1/4" x 3 1/4" and mounted on a blue matted, black card base measuring 8 1/2" x 3 1/2".
The sentiment from Add Color To your Life was stamped with hybrid black ink on rainbow inked Bristol Smooth card stock and clear embossed. The sentiment was attached to the card with a strip of foam tape.
