Quick and Easy Mini Slimlines …. featuring Simon Says Stamp’s Wildflowers

I am always a little bit surprised when I go to reach for a card in a particular category and I have run out! I needed thank you cards … now! I couldn’t believe I had none … someone must have ‘borrowed’ them … lol! There is nothing like silhouette images to produce a card you feel good about giving even though it took no time at all to make. Simon Says Stamp’s WILDFLOWER stamp set is absolutely gorgeous and was the perfect choice for these quick and easy cards .

I began by ink blending two oversized panels of Bristol Smooth card stock With the following Distress Oxide inks:

  • Dried Marigold, Ripe Persimmon, Candied Apple

  • Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Dusty Concord

No embossing so need to wait for the panels to dry! WILDFLOWERS comes with two stamps. I used one on each card stamping wth Black Onyx Versafine ink.

The panel was die cut with the second largest die in Simon’s Mini Slimline Rectangles die set and mounted on black sheet foam. The largest die was used to cut Sizzix’ Pearl Gold card stock from their Gold Surfacez Opulent card stock pack. The black layer was cut somewhere in between the sizes of these two panels. The card base measured 6 1/2” by 3 1/4" and was constructed from Neenah Classic Crest 110lb card stock.

Gina K’s Gold Glitz Glitter Gel was stencilled around the silhouette flowers with Simon’s Falling Snow Stencil … I had to add some sparkle somewhere! By the way, this gel dries very quickly ... in minutes! The Pearl Gold card stock used in one of the layers and black foam were die cut wth Simon’s Bold Thanks and stacked.
