Hello friends! If you need quick and easy Christmas cards or you are simply not a fan of colouring, these letterpress cards fit the bill and have a pretty result! These cards feature Label Silhouettes Press Plates and Sealed Poinsettia Stems Press Plates & Die Set and have been embellished with new wax seal stamps Christmas Ornament and Poinsettia Bouquet.
BetterPress Porcelain A2 Panels were letterpressed with the Label Silhouettes Press Plates. This set includes three plates, each in a unique shape. The plates were inked with Fresh Dye Inks. Two tones were used for each plate to create a gradient.
For the red card, Crimson and Velvet were used. Icy Water and Winter Lake were used to ink the plate for the other card. When applying the inks, the two colours were overlapped to create a blend.
The panels were pressed a second time using the Poinsettia Bouquet Wax Seal Stamp. The plate was inked with the BetterPress Full Size Black Ink Pad.
The panel was trimmed to 4 x 5 1/4” and a glue dot was placed just below the label silhouette at the bottom of the card. The panel was wrapped with metallic gold thread criss crossing it over the glue dot before adhering it to an A2 sized, black card base.
Using the Wax Seal Starter Kit, wax seals were stamped with Christmas Ornament
and Poinsettia Bouquet Wax Seal Stamps. I used new wax bead colours; Blue Smoke and Candy Apple. Gold highlights were added with the gel pen.
The wax seals were adhered over the crisscrossing thread with Wax Seal Adhesive Circles.
The cards were embellished with gold confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
