Rainbow Fun featuring Spellbinder's Painter's Palette

Hello everyone! I have a super sweet and easy, 'all die cut', slimline card done up in rainbow style featuring a new die set by Spellbinders ... Painter's Palette. This set has some really cute elements but, for today's card, I am focussing on the paint tube …times six!

There are four dies to create the paint tube. For each of the six tubes, the following colours of card stock were cut:

  • tube - black

  • tube detail - black

  • cap - black and one rainbow colour

  • label - white and one rainbow colour

For the six rainbow colour accents, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple card stock was used.

A panel of white Neenah Classic Crest 110lb card stock measuring 8 1/4" by 3 1/4" was mounted on an 8 1/2" by 3 1/2" black card stock panel. A strip of black card stock measuring 3/4" by 8" was adhered to the bottom of the panel. After the tubes were assembled, a T-ruler was used to help adhere them straight but at an angle on the panel.

A 'hello' die from Spellbinders' Layered Mix and Match Sentiments was used to die cut rainbow patterned paper four times. The sentiments were adhered to the black strip. Nuvo Crystal Glaze was applied to the coloured inserts on the labels. Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew was applied to the colour indicator on the cap. Finally, various colours of Nuvo Crystal Drops were coordinated with the paint tube colour. LOTS of detail was added to accent the areas around the tubes … Red Berry, Ripened Pumpkin, Dandelion Yellow, Apple Green, Caribbean Ocean and Crushed Grape.
