Shape Card featuring Spellbinder’s Beautiful Butterflies 3D Embossing Folder

Updated: Jun 6, 2023

Hello everyone! I have another card from the Sylish Ovals Collection featuring a gorgeous 3D embossing Folder, Beautiful Butterflies, and Essential Stylish Ovals. This A2 sized, shape card is quick and easy to make .... gotta love it when you get a pretty card with not a lot of effort! This gorgeous embossing folder does all the heavy lifting!

  • The largest die from Essential Stylish Ovals was used to create the shaped card base. White card stock was creased and folded in half and the die was positioned so the top of the oval overhung the fold line. When run through the die cutter, the top will not be cut creating a hinge.

  • Because the oval will be cut off where the hinge is, an oval die cut of the the same size as the card base was adhered on top.

  • Teal card stock was cut with a smaller oval die and embossed with Beautiful Butterflies 3 D Embossing Folder. This design is gorgeous!

  • White pigment ink was rubbed lightly over the raised design and then coated with clear sparkle embossing powder and melted.

  • Using the same oval die as the embossed panel, white sheet foam was cut. The embossed panel was adhered to the foam and mounted on the card base.

  • The script sentiment from Outlined Sentiments was cut from teal card stock. The coordinating shadow die was used to cut both white card stock and foam. The shadow was stacked and the script sentiment adhered to it before centring it on the card front.

  • The card was embellished with Aura Opalescent Sequins and finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
