Simon Says Stamp Out of This World Release featuring Rotating Quadrants

I love release day at Simon Says Stamp! You can always expect a selection of wonderfully exciting new products and Out of This World is no exception! Today's cards feature a large red rubber stamp, Rotating Quadrants. I have paired it with Crafter’s Companion Delightful Daisies patterned paper for a set of masculine cards. Such a fun stamp!

  • Crafter’s Companion Delightful Daisies patterned paper is 6 by 6 and double sided. I chose the wooden siding images and stamped the Rotating Quadrants with Charcoal Pawsitively Saturated Ink in a Misti twice. I chose grey rather than black for a couple of reasons. The grey would allow the pattern to show through and would enhance the rustic charm of the patterned paper.

  • The panels were trimmed down. Two of them to 4" by 5 1/4" and the third one to 3 3/4 " by 5".

  • Using either the 2nd or 3rd largest die from Stitched Rectangles, it was centred on the panel and cut.

  • The small rectangles were adhered to oversized black sheet foam and trimmed down.

  • Panels of coloured card stock, Slate, Mint and Vanilla Malt, were cut to 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" and mounted on top folding, A2 sized card bases. Two were landscape and one in portrait orientation.

  • The patterned paper frame was centred on the card front and adhered.

  • The foam backed rectangle was adhered to the card base in the die cut opening of the frame.

  • Fancy Thanks, Fancy Love and Big Scripty Hugs were cut four times each from the same coloured card stock as the background panels. The sentiments were stacked.

  • Prepared sentiments from CZ Design Reverse Gratitude were die cut with Sentiment Labels and mounted on thin foam adhesive strips. The backing paper was not removed immediately. Gotta love timesavers!

  • The die cut sentiment and sentiment strip were arranged on the card fronts and adhered.

  • Pearls were used to embellish the cards. For the blue card, Storm Cloud was used. Satin Blanc Pearls were used on the cream card and San Marino on the mint one.
