Simon Says Stamp’s Cheering For You Release featuring CZ Designs You

Hello friends! It is new release time at Simon Says Stamp! There is nothing I love better than a great sentiment set! I have three fun cards celebrating YOU! This stamp set includes a main sentiment, the big and bold YOU, and loads of secondary sentiments. YOU promises to be one of those ‘most reached for’ sets!

All of the cards are A2 sized. One has been done up on a clear, acetate card base and the other two on black matted, white card stock ones. The main sentiment for each has been stamped in colour while the supporting, secondary sentiments with black Versafine ink.

  • A large panel of Bristol Smooth Card Stock was ink blended with Pawsitively Saturated Ink Trio 6. The main die from So Many Candles was used to cut it twice. The flames were cut from yellow glitter card stock. The flames will not be adhered to the candles until the card is assembled … one less thing to align!

  • The back of the candle die cuts were dotted with Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue and left to dry completely. It will be tacky and repositionable. One candle die cut was positioned on the front of the acetate card base and the the second one aligned to it on the back. I won’t lie! This is a bit finicky but the Tombow adhesive allows flexibility to get the candles aligned without dealing with glue smearing on the acetate. I used a dot of regular adhesive to adhere the flames. After doing one side, the ones for the other side were easily lined up .

  • YOU was also stamped on the ink blended panel when it was dry with Versamark ink and white embossed. I was going to stamp at a second time, but I liked the texture so I left it. I did not have the accompanying die set and so fussy cut it. This sentiment was also adhered with Tombow that was left to dry.

  • The secondary sentiment was stamped twice on the inked panel and cut with a die from the Sentiment Labels die set. They were adhered front and back on the candles with dots of glue just on the candles aligning one to the other.

  • The card was embellished with pastel confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.

  • The YOU was stamped with Pawsitively Saturated Ink Bubblegum. One of the secondary sentiments was stamped over top of it in black Versafine ink.

  • The Slice of Cake die set was used to cut Cotton Candy Card stock. Each of the layers was stamped with a secondary sentiment.

  • It was assembled, adhered to the card front and the top coated with chunky, clear glitter.

  • The edges between the layers were iced with Nuvo Stone Drops Chalk White.

  • The top third of the panel was masked with Post It Note Tape. The YOU was temporarily positioned on the left and then masked on the right side of it. Pawsitively Saturated ink Cherry was ink blended. The remainder was divided into thirds; my strips worked out to 6/8”. I made light pencil marks, masked it on the left side and then masked each strip one at a time applying Seafoam, Surf followed by Ocean (Pawsitively Saturated Ink Trio 1) on the last one. The main sentiment was stamped in Cherry and the secondary ones in black Versafine ink.

  • The Stars die set is awesome! Every size imaginable! I chose a few sizes and cut them from either silver glitter or white card stock. The white stars were edged wth glue and coated with silver glitter. They were arranged on the white space popping up the two larger ones with foam squares. Three small stars were mounted on foam die cuts to create bullets for the secondary sentiments.

  • Room was left while arranging the stars for another secondary sentiment.

  • A few silver confetti finished with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew were added in amongst the stars.
