Hello card making friends! It's time for Simon Says Stamp's new release, KISSES (the partner to the previous HUGS RELEASE 😉💓)! I am featuring a sweet red rubber foam stamp, Concentric Hearts! This is a pull apart 6 by 6 stamp making it very versatile ... stamp it all at once or one heart at a time!
All At Once
Over sized card stock was stamped with background stamp. On one card, Damask Background was inked with a combination of Pawsitively Saturated Inks Trio 2 ... Celery, Limelicious and Pearfection. The other panel was stamped with Pretty Peonies Background using Pawsitively Saturated Inks Trio 6 ... Bubblegum, Sweets, Taffy.
Lightest to darkest, the inks were applied at an angle starting at the top.
The panels were left to dry before stamping the with Versamark ink applied to Concentric Hearts.
The pink card was embossed with Aged Rose Embossing Enamel and the green with gold embossing powder.
The panels were die cut with Stitched Rectangles and mounted on black matted, A2 sized card bases.
Etched Magnolia Blossom was die cut from white and Matte Gold Card Stock and hand shaped after assembly.
The Hey Love sentiment was divided between the the cards. It was cut four times and stacked,
The secondary sentiments from Love Notes were stamped with black Versafine ink.
The cards were embellished with either soft pink or gold confetti and finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
One Heart At A Time
I 'kinda' went all out there with the colour on this one! I stamped the entire 6 by 6 in full rainbow but decided to create an A2 sized card .... half a rainbow!
Concentric Hearts was stamped using a stamping platform on white card stock. To stamp each heart a different colour and maintain the even spacing, the full stamp was positioned in the platform and the hearts were stamped from the outside working towards the centre. Starting with the heart on the perimeter, the heart next to it was removed prior to inking. I did use Post It Note Tape to mask off hearts still in place .... just in case! As each heart was stamped, I replaced the one that was taken off and then removed the one that was stamped ... rebuilding it on the acetate sheet included in the packaging.
The hearts were stamped with Pawsitively Saturated Inks .... Cherry, Mandarin, Citrine and Limelicious. Because I stamped the full stamp, I also used Marine and Heather .... you can see a touch of the blue on the bottom of the panel!
The panel was cut with a 4.25" by 5.5" stitched rectangular die and mounted on an A2 sized card base.
The outline die from Deco Heart was used to cut red card stock and sheet foam. The heart was embossed with Kaleidoscope 3D Embossing Folder, stacked and adhered to the centre of the inner most heart.
A small piece of card stock was inked with the same colours used to stamp the hearts and then cut with the shadow die from Love You. The script was cut from black card stock.
Red card stock was cut with Chunky Hearts. They were stamped with sentiments from an older stamp set, Candy Hearts, and mounted on foam die cuts. The hearts were glazed with Glossy Accents.
Confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew complete this card.
