Simon Says Stamp’s Sunny Vibes Release featuring Create

Hello friends! I absolutely love sentiment sets … dies or stamps? Doesn’t matter to me! I love them all! Simon Says Stamp’s Create is definitely going on my ‘favourite’s list’! This set speaks to every crafters’ heart! I have three cards that focus on using vellum to help these beautiful sentiments stand out from their floral backgrounds.

  • The backgrounds were created with Poppies Background, Delicate Outline Flowers Background and Peony Background . They were stamped with Versamark ink and embossed on Bristol Smooth Card Stock. Two panels were embossed in white and the third in gold.

  • The floral images were coloured with pigment powders. The powders were placed on a palette and water added. The florals were wetted and the pigment dropped in with a paint brush. .

  • The backgrounds were Copic coloured.

  • The newly released sentiment stamp set, Create, was stamped on vellum paper and embossed with either white or gold. For the black sentiments, they were stamped with Versafine ink and clear embossed. The vellum was then adhered to Double Sided Adhesive Sheets.

  • All of the panels, one full size and the others 4” by 5 1/4”, were adhered to A2 sized card bases.

PEONY BACKGROUND

  • The flowers were coloured with Lilac Waterfall Nuvo Shimmer Powder.

  • The leaves for this card were Copic coloured with YG95 & 99. Y18 was used for the flower centres and the background was coloured with B39.

  • The panel was cut with a small die from the A2 Thin Frames die set. The adhesive backed Vellum with its embossed sentiments was adhered to the floral rectangle die cut and then mounted on sheet foam.

  • Matte Gold Card Stock was adhered to the back of the panel over the die cut opening and the foam backed panel centred on the front of it.

DELICATE FLOWERS BACKGROUND

  • This panel was coloured with Lindy’s Magicals Tibetan Blue Poppy.

  • The background was Copic coloured with BG09.

  • The sentiments were stamped on a band of vellum paper. The adhesive backed vellum was wrapped around the panel before it was mounted on the card base.

POPPIES BACKGROUND

  • The poppies were painted with either Catherine Wheel Nuvo Shimmer Powder or Cherry Bomb Nuvo Shimmer Powder.

  • The background was coloured with Copic BG 09 and flower centres with 110, a black marker.

  • The panel and sentiment were cut with a die from Nested Domed Arches. The adhesive backed vellum was mounted on the floral arch.

  • After the panel was adhered to the card base, the vellum covered arch was inlaid in the die cut opening.
