Are you counting down to Christmas? Tick tock! I consider myself to be a pretty organized person. I am obsessed with making lists and checking off things as I get them done. Sounds like I have everything under control, right? My problem is I keep thinking of new things to do and the list just gets longer … one more cookie recipe or two or three, I have an idea for a card or two or three, let’s reorganize the storage room now that the Christmas stuff is out of there … I could go on. I need to chill! And I will … when Christmas dinner goes on the table! Until then, I have a card to share with you … Spellbinders’ CHRISTMAS FOLIAGE STRIP & BORDERS! What a gorgeous die set!
I used three of the borders from this set. I die cut oversized white card stock with the lace edged die. I borrowed the Merry Christmas sentiment from the CURVED CHRISTMAS GLIMMER BORDERS and hot foiled it with SPECKLED PRISM FOIL …so beautiful! Matte silver card stock was cut with the trellis die and lavender card stock was used for the Christmas foliage die.
The foliage border was adhered the lacy edged panel and adhered to foam that was cut with the plainer curved border die. A strip of lavender card stock was adhered at the back of the die cut on the silver matte paper. The foam curved edge of the white panel was adhered to the silver matte panel. It was then trimmed down to measure 8 1/4” by 3 1/4” and mounted on a panel of blue violet card stock measuring 8 1/2” by 3 1/2“ then on to an 8 3/4” by 3 3/4” card base.
The individual foliage dies included in this set were used to die cut blue violet card stock and some matte silver holly leaves to accent both the foliage border and to highlight the sentiment. Silver sequins topped up with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew adorn the centres of the flowers. The drops were also used on the blue violet berries.
