So Much Spooky Fun with Spellbinders' Dancin' Mummy and Haunted House

Hello everyone! These super adorable Halloween cards featuring Spellbinders’ Dancin' Mummy and Haunted House were so much fun to work with and easily put together. And, yes! The mummy has cute swinging legs like Dancin’ St. Nick!

Haunted House

The background was ink blended with Distress Oxide inks Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Black Soot on Bristol smooth card stock measuring 4“ x 5 1/4“. The image, Spellbinders’ Forest Silhouette, was stamped with Black Versafine ink. The panel was mounted on a black matted, A2 sized card base. The haunted house was die cut four times out of black card stock and stacked. It was also die cut from white card stock for the window die cuts which were coloured yellow with a Copic marker. The house was adhered to the panel and the little yellow windows inset. The card was finished off with white die cut ghosts and black card stock bats. The bats were attached just by the body so that the wings could be shaped upwards for some added dimension. Nuvo Crystal Glaze was applied to the windows.

Dancin’ Mummy

The ink blended background for this card was done with Mowed Lawn, Squeezed Lemonade and Black Soot. The main body of the mummy was die cut from light gray cardstock and the linen wrappings that were adhered on top from white card stock. Foam squares were placed on the back of the body making sure that they would not interfere with the swinging legs. The legs were positioned on the back of the mummy using a foam square in the circle die cut at the top of the legs. Holding onto both the body of the mummy and the legs, the mummy was it here to the card. This card was finished off with some bat die cuts from the Haunted House die set and green confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
