Hello everyone! I created a softly textured background for Spellbinders’ delicate and beautiful Being Around You Wreath. This stamp set includes several individual flowers and leafy images to use in conjunction with the wreath or on their own for a completely different look. I love versatility!
I began by stamping both the wreath and a number of the individual images on Bristol Smooth card stock with Versamark ink and embossed them in gold. Zig markers were used to colour the images simply with peach pink, pink, light green and yellow. Both the wreath and the additional florals were fussy cut.
An A2 sized panel of Bristol Smooth was lightly brushed using a fan brush with Ranger's Multi Medium Gloss Gel. Distress Paint Spun Sugar was applied in vertical sweeps with a sponge. When dry, additional gel was added with a palette knife in a criss-cross pattern across the panel. Again when completely dry, two dies from Spellbinder’ Rectangles were positioned one inside the other and held together with post it note tape. Both the background panel and matte gold card stock were die cut. The outer frame was attached to an A2 sized card base of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb card stock. The inside panel and gold frame were mounted on foam and adhered to the card base.
The wreath was mounted on the card with foam squares. A number of the individual images were tucked in to the wreath and adhered directly to the panel. The sentiment was embossed in gold on white card stock, matted with the gold and stacked on foam. Pink and iridescent confetti topped with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew embellish the card. A few White Nuvo Crystal Drops finish up the card.
