Spellbinder’s 3D Embossing Folder of the Month for June

Hello friends! When I think of summer, lemonade is one of the first things to come to mind … and ice cream, of course! Spellbinder's, 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Summertime Citrus Twist, is the perfect backdrop for some sweet cards for the warm days that hopefully lay ahead in my neck of the woods! Until then, I can create cards that let me enjoy the sunshine without the sunshine!

The June registration window for this club will be available June 6 for current Club Members. New registrations are accepted on the 10th of June. Registrations can be completed until June 27th or while supplies last.

  • A white, A2 sized panel was embossed with 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Summertime Citrus Twist, and the panel rubbed with a combination of Distress Oxide Ink Squeezed Lemonade and Scattered Straw. The panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base.

  • The elements for the cute soft ice cream cone from the Small Die of the Month were cut three times. Although this is an interactive element, I did not incorporate this aspect as I wanted the cones to sit close together holding hands which would impede the movement of the legs.

  • The ice cream cones are made up of three die cuts plus the arms and legs. Everything except the ice cream was inked with Frayed Burlap before they were assembled.

  • The tops of the cones were finished off with clay sprinkles … so cute!

  • The cones were adhered together; first hand to hand and then adding in some adhesive where the ice cream overlapped. The cones were then mounted on the card front with foam squares.

  • The sentiment included with the Small Die of the Month was cut from both yellow glitter card stock and foam. The words were stacked and adhered across the swirls of ice cream.
