Hello friends! Spellbinder's BetterPress Plate of the Month, Summertime Palms, is BIG and BEAUTIFUL! This press plate makes for a quick and easy card with one press plate for the palm image. The set includes two sentiments with coordinating dies. Gorgeous!
I also had the opportunity to work with Spellbinder’s new compact Guillotine Paper Trimmer . It is awesome! I love the finger guard that allows you to hold the paper in place and protect your fingers while cutting. Its rubberized feet keeps the trimmer in place while using. What I love most are the measurement grids. They are in ¼-inch increments that are easy to read!
The June registration window for this club will be available June 6 for current Club Members. New registrations are accepted on the 10th of June. Registrations can be completed until June 27th or while supplies last.
A panel of Bristol Smooth Card Stock was ink blended with Distress Oxide Inks Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers and Dusty Concord.
Using a fan brush, the panel was spattered with water, left for a few seconds and blotted with paper towel.
The panel was letterpressed with Summertime Palms using the Full Size Black BetterPress Ink Pad to ink up the large image. I inked and pressed the image twice.
The panel was trimmed to 4 1/4” by 5 1/2” using Spellbinders’ new Guillotine Paper Trimmer. The panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base.
The BetterPress Plate of the Month includes two sentiments with coordinating dies. Paper was inked by swiping the Salvaged Patina ink pad across it and one of the sentiments was letterpressed with black ink. Both the sentiment and foam were were die cut. The sentiment was stacked and adhered to the card front.
The card was embellished with a new line of Color Essential Gems. … NEW EMBELLISHMENTS! The self adhesive Orchid gems were placed in the purple area of the card and Denim in the blue area.
