Pocket Bunny, Spellbinder’s Clear Stamp & Die of the Month for February featuring Faux Denim

Hello fellow card makers! I have a couple more cards featuring Spellbinder's Pocket Bunny, the Clear Stamp and Die of the Month. I adore the sweet images in this set and I particularly love the bunny in the pocket.

Bunny In Pocket

  • Working on an over sized piece of Bristol Smooth card stock, a stiff acrylic flat brush and fan brush were used to apply acrylic paint in a cross hatch fashion to create a denim look. I used Folk Art paint; French Blue, Heartland Blue and Wicker White. Please see the video tutorial for details.

  • The bunny in a pocket image was stamped twice; the full image on white card stock with Copic friendly, Versafine ink and clear embossed and just the pocket on the denim panel with Versanark ink and embossed in white.

  • The white card stock bunny was COPIC coloured. The bunny was shaded with W00 and W1. The flowers were coloured with Y13, R20, R22, YR23, Vooo and V04.

  • The denim pocket and full bunny images were cut with the coordinating die.

  • The Copic coloured bunny was trimmed from the pocket and aligned and adhered to the denim pocket.

  • The coordinating die was also use to cut black sheet foam and the bunny image adhered to it.

  • The denim card stock was cut with a die from A2 Matting Basics. A white gel pen was used to create a perimeter of stitching.

  • The panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base and the foam backed bunny was attached.

  • The sentiment was stamped on the denim panel with Versanark ink and embossed in white. Both the sentiment and black foam were cut with the coordinating die. The sentiment was stacked and mounted below the bunny.

Bunny In Egg

  • The bunny in an egg image was stamped on ivory card stock with Copic friendly, black Memento ink.

  • The image was Copic coloured; bunny - E84, E81, R01, egg - shaded on the perimeter with E30 and the egg decorations & flowers - RV02, Y13, G43

  • The image and white sheet foam were cut with the coordinating die and stacked.

  • The leafy frame and oval are from the Large Die of the Month, Spring Reflection. They were cut from a fresh green card stock. The oval was cut twice for a little bit of dimension.

  • The stacked oval was adhered to the centre of an A2 sized, ivory card base. The trellis frames were placed on either side of the oval keeping the distance between the each frame and oval even.

  • Before the egg was adhered, the sentiment was stamped with black Versafine ink. The sentiment and foam were cut with the coordinating die and stacked.

  • The egg and sentiment were adhered to the oval and green confetti finished off with Nuevo Crystal Drops Morning Dew complete the card.
