Hello, fellow card makers! Spellbinder's Dancin' Girl Day of the Dead and Dancin' Boy Day of the Dead are so adorable! These die cut sweeties are interactive and super easy to make! I plan on using these tags on a couple of Halloween treat bags for someone special! These Mexican themed tags demand vivid colour ... right up my alley!
All of the elements were die cut from white card stock except for the girl's two piece hair do and the boy's sombrero and pants that were cut from black.
The skull, hands and trim for the girl's dress were left white and the rest were inked with Pawsitively Saturated Inks; Celery, Ocean, Cherry and Flannel.
The girl and boy are easily assembled. The body for the girl and the legs for the boy are not attached. These will be interactive.
Black card stock was cut with the Create A Decorative Tag die set. This set comes with a fringe die ... perfect for these tags! For each tag, two black and three teal/red fringe were cut from card stock. The fringes were layered onto the tag alternating between the black and coloured ones.
The girl's body and the boy's legs were lined up on the tag. The top will have a ring. An adhesive foam circle was placed in the ring and the skulls attached to the foam. The dancin' elements are now attached to the tag!
Glimmer Alphabet Hot Foil Plate and Die Set, gold foiled on white card stock, was used to create the sentiment 'hola'. The girl's sentiment was inked with Ocean and the girl's with Celery before adhering the letters to the top of the tag.
A few flowers, leaves and flower centres were cut for coloured card stock and used to embellish the tags.
The tags were finished off with decorative ribbon for the ties.
