Hello everyone! I am in love with Spellbinder's Embossing Folder of the Month, Tiled Hearts. I have embossed it with a soft pink ink on cream card stock ... one of my favourite colour combos using a favourite embossing folder technique! Quick and easy ... exactly how I like it!
The December "New Subscriber" registration window will be available December 6 - 27th while supplies last.
Distress Oxide Ink Spun Sugar was applied to the flat side of the embossing folder ... not my 'go to' ink for this technique but wanted the softest pink tone I had.
An oversized piece of cream card stock was embossed with Tiled Hearts two times inking the folder each time to get a fairly even tone of pink on the background.
The panel was trimmed to 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" centreing the design top to bottom and left to right.
Stitched Kaleidoscopic Arch Die Set was used to cut two half ovals from both cream and white sheet foam. The decorative edging was cut from gold foil card stock and adhered behind the edging of the ovals.
Using Kaleidoscope Arch Sentiments Stamp Set, the sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink and embossed in gold.
The ovals were adhered to the foam die cuts. The ovals will over lap when adhered together so one foam die cut was trimmed to allow for this. The ovals were adhered to the card front.
The banner sentiment, also from Stitched Kaleidoscopic Arch Die Set, was cut from cream card stock. The banner die on its own was used to cut gold card stock and the sentiment mounted on top. The sentiment was adhered to the centre of the oval.
The card was finished off with gold and cream flowers from the same die set as the oval frame.
