Hello everyone! It's the beginning of the month and time to have a look at Spellbinder's Clubs of the Month for November! The Meandering Floral Embossing Folder is so beautiful with its delicate botanical design. I am highlighting all the prettiness by deepening the background with ink using a tone on tone technique ... so easy with a pretty result.
The November "New Subscriber" registration window will be available November 6 - 27th while supplies last.
I selected three shades of card stock and coordinated a slightly deeper ink. For this technique, I find I get the best result using Pawsitively Saturated Inks.
For the light blue panel, I used the Seafoam ink pad and Surf for the blue one. For the teal panel,Ocean was used.
The card stock was trimmed to 4" by 5 1/4".
The ink pad was applied to the flat side of The Meandering Floral Embossing Folder. I ran it through the die cutter, then re-inked the embossing folder with out moving the panel and fed it through a second time. Embossing the panel twice with two applications of ink will ensure the background is solid.
The embossed panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base matted with the same colour of card stock used for embossing.
Several sprigs were die cut from both gold foil and the card stock used for the panel with the Autumn Sealed Sprigs die set.
Liquid adhesive was patted on some leaves on the card stock sprigs and sprinkled with chunky clear glitter.
The sprigs were arranged onto the embossed panel using a large glue dot where the stems would cross cross. Once in place, a section of each of the stems was adhered with liquid adhesive.
The script sentiments from Everyday Sentiments were die cut from the same card stock as the panel and adhered to gold foil shadow die cuts. The shadow die was also used to cut white sheet foam to stack the sentiments.
The cards were embellished with Aura Opalescent Sequins finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
