Spellbinder’s Floral Flip Frame from the Stylish Ovals Collection

Hello everyone! Die cutting and simple stitching ... a match made in heaven with Spellbinder's Floral Flip Frame from the Sylish Ovals Collection. I love all die cut cards because you just can't go wrong and with some pretty stitching embellishments .... OOOO LA LA!

  • Two leafy frames were die cut from both matte gold card stock and black sheet foam. The leaf frames were stacked

  • The flower dies consist of a stitched detail and solid background. The stitched detail dies were cut from teal, pink and purple. The solid background dies were used to cut black sheet foam.

  • The flowers were stitched with metallic pale gold thread. I use a bit of scotch tape on the back of the flower to hold both the start and end of the thread. The flowers were then mounted on the foam die cuts and placed under some weight until the adhesive was set.

  • The foam backed leafy frames were adhered to an A2 sized, top-folding, black card base.

  • The foam backed flowers were adhered to the frame. The silhouette outline on the frame makes it easy to position and align the flowers.

  • Where the two frames meet on either side, a small, teal flower was adhered over the leaves.

  • The flower centres were finished off with Satin Gold Pearls.

  • Using one of the smaller dies from the Essential Stylish Ovals die set, matte gold card stock was cut and the oval adhered to the centre of the card.

  • The sentiment from Outlined Sentiments was die cut from purple card stock and adhered to the oval.
