Hello friends! Spellbinders’ Glimmer of the Month, Colourful Splash, is so much fun! I love it! This wonderful backdrop is easily created and so versatile. If you have scraps of foil that you couldn’t bear to throw away, this glimmer plate is perfect for using up those bits and pieces. On the the other hand, lots of colour can be achieved with Glimmer Hot Foil Roll Mini Rainbow. This glimmer plate with its accompanying sentiments is a fun one!
The August registration window for this club will be available August 6 for current Club Members. New registrations are accepted on the 10th of August. Registrations can be completed until August 27th or while supplies last.
White card stock was foiled using the Glimmer Hot Foil System. On one card, I used a couple of scraps; Glimmer Hot Foil Roll Magenta and Cobalt. The foil was simply laid down over the plate overlapping one with the other.
For the second card, I used Glimmer Hot Foil Roll Mini Rainbow to create this fun multicolour design.
The backgrounds were cut with one of the dies from the Essential Hearts Die Set. There was enough foiled area left over to cut sentiments from the Small Die of the Month.
both the sentiments and heart dies were used to cut white sheet foam. The hearts and words were stacked.
Panels of white card stock sized 4 1/4“ x 5 1/2“ were embossed with the Plaster 3D Embossing Folder. Watercolour was spattered onto the panels with a fan brush. I chose multicolours taking my queue from the coloured foil.
The panels were adhered to anA2 sized card base. The foam mounted hearts were also adhered with the dye cut sentiments placed diagonally on top of them.
The secondary sentiments included in the Glimmer of the Month were foiled in black on white card stock. They were cut into sentiment strips and mounted on foam before adhering them on the bottom of the card front.
