Hello everyone! Spellbinder's Glimmer of the Month, Tropical Bloom, is gorgeous. This large flower plate is accompanied by two sentiments with coordinating dies. The purple card was Copic coloured. The pink bloom was stencilled using the bonus stencil set included in Spellbinder's new value pack, The Deluxe Caboodle Club.
The May registration window for this club will be available May 6 for current Club Members. New registrations are accepted on the 10th of May. Registrations can be completed until May 27th or while supplies last
Tropical Bloom and the accompanying sentiments were foiled using Spellbinder’s Hot Foil System. Aura Glimmer Hot Foil was used on the white card stock panel and Fuschia Flower Hot Foil on the lilac one.
For the flower on the white panel, the two piece stencil set included as a BONUS item in The Deluxe Caboodle Club was used for the colouring.
Starting at the base of the petals using Stencil 1, Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry was applied. The petal was finished with Spun Sugar.
For the second stencil layer, Spun Sugar was applied to the base and finished off with Antique Linen.
The flower on the lilac panel was Copic coloured. The following combinations were alternated between the stripe detail; V17, 15, 12 and BV08, 04, 01.
The panels and white sheet foam were cut with a die from the Notched Corner Frames die set, stacked and adhered to A2 sized card bases.
The foiled sentiments and foam were cut with the coordinating die, stacked and adhered to the card fronts.
Some pretty dot details were added to the purple flower. When the nib of a Quickie Glue Pen is depressed, tiny dots of adhesive are created. The glue dots were covered with dark blue, fine glitter. When the adhesive was completely dry, a soft, clean stencil brush was used to remove any stray glitter.
The other card was embellished with gold pearls.
