Hello friends! Spellbinders’ Glimmer of the Month, Festive Lights, is a fun set of Christmas lights accompanied by a large, gorgeous sentiment and die set. I used the plate to create a half panel but it can be foiled twice to create a full background.
The registration window for this club will be available October 6 for current Club Members. New registrations are accepted on the 10th of October. Registrations can be completed until October 27th or while supplies last.
White cardstock was foiled with Aura Glimmer Hot Foil Roll using the Glimmer of the Month, Festive Lights, The panel was trimmed to 4 1/4” wide and fussy cut along the irregular side of the image.
The background was Copic coloured with B39. To ensure the tone was even, the ink was applied in the same direction and given two coats. Any ink on the foiling was removed with the colourless blender.
The light bulbs were coloured in four different tones of teal and blue; BG07, 13, 23 and 53.
Tiny detail dots of gold were added on the tips of the bulbs and surrounding the bulb using a Quickie Glue Pen. This pen dispenses very small droplets of glue and is slow drying. Several bulbs can be detailed at once before applying gold glitter.
Soft teal cardstock was spattered with a fan brush using Splatter White Opaque Watercolor and then trimmed to 4 1/4” by 5 1/2”.
The panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base and the Christmas light panel layered on the upper portion.
White cardstock was foiled with Aura Glimmer Hot Foil Roll with the sentiment included in the Glimmer of the Month kit. The sentiment and foam were cut with the coordinating die, stacked and adhered to the card.
