Spellbinder’s Large Die of the the Month for November & Video

Hello friends! Spellbinder's Large Die of the Month, Hooray! It’s Your Birthday!, is a super fun die set. There are two critters; an alligator and frog with lots of supporting dies to create sweet birthday cards.

For November only, non-club members can join our clubs NOVEMBER 1st instead of waiting until the 6th! So, if you’ve been thinking of joining, now’s the perfect time! Woohoo!

  • Both cards were created in the same palette; blues and teals.

  • For the alligator card, the border die found in the Large Die of the Month was used to cut three colours of cardstock 5 1/2” wide in different heights. They were layered on a blue, A2 sized panel. The panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base.

  • The alligator was assembled and mounted on a foam die cut and adhered to the card.

  • Another strip of cardstock was cut with the border die and mounted below the alligator with a foam adhesive strip.

  • The present was adhered on top of the alligator and dot detail was added with Nuvo Crystal Drops Simply White.

  • The sentiments from the Glimmer of the Month were foiled in gold

  • For the frog cart, strips of cardstock were die cut with the border die on the top and bottom. A panel of cardstock was covered with a sheet of double-sided adhesive. The strips were adhered to the panel and fine, teal glitter was applied to the exposed adhesive. The panel and black sheet foam were cut with the scalloped oval die included in the die set..

  • Blue cardstock, 4“ x 5 1/2“, was adhered to a black card base. The foam backed scalloped panel was centred on it.

  • The frog and car were assembled. The car was mounted on a foam die cut, and a foam square was placed behind the frog’s head. The frog was mounted on the scalloped oval.

  • The sentiment was adhered to a foam die cut. The banner was adhered to the strings and finished off with three balloons from the Small Die of the Month.

  • Nuvo Crystal Drops Simply White were used to add detail to the small banners, present, and the frogs cheeks.
