Spellbinder’s Large Die & Stitching Die of the Month for February featuring ColorWheel Cardstock

Writer's picture: Bonnie CraneBonnie Crane

Hello friends! Spellbinder's new line of Colorwheel Cardstock is incredible with 48 gorgeous shades in rich and heavy 100lb cardstock. It was fun creating this collection of cards and a tag featuring the Large Die of the Month, Dancin' Hoppy Bunnies Everywhere, Stitching Die of the Month, Stitched Scallop Card Front & Tag, and the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Petite Bow. The tag features the cute BONUS ITEM included in the Deluxe Caboodle Club.

The colour palette reflects my love for dying Easter eggs naturally! My colours represent dyes created with Yellow Onion Skins, Purple Cabbage, Paprika and Turmeric. Be sure to check out the Color Swatch Wheel and Color Swatch Petal to create a quick and easy reference for all that gorgeous cardstock.

The February "New Subscriber" registration window will be open February 6th to the 27th. Sign up in February and receive the current design.

The Colorwheel Cardstock collection brings color to life in your cards! With 48 gorgeous shades, this rich and heavy cardstock is an incredible collection and, in my opinion, a craft room ‘must have’. Create beautiful colour palettes for all your projects with easy reference guides using the Color Swatch Wheel and Color Swatch Petal die sets. Amazing!

The cards and tag in this project were created with Tuscany, Oceanside, Spicy and Anchor using the Large Die of the Month, Dancin' Hoppy Bunnies Everywhere, Stitching Die of the Month, Stitched Scallop Card Front & Tag, and the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Petite Bow.

All of the sweet Easter elements including the sentiments were created with the Large Die of the Month, Dancin' Hoppy Bunnies Everywhere. This is a large die sets with lots of accessories. The bunny was designed with the option of making it interactive. The die cut of the legs is separate from the body and has a large hole at the top so that it can be placed over a foam square to allow the legs to swing. Although I did not choose to make the interactive bunny, I do have video tutorials that contain characters with the same interactive mechanism. Super easy to make! Here is a link to one of them!

Two of the cards in this collection feature backgrounds created with the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month. Petite Bows is a beautiful and delicate design not only perfect for Easter cards, but for many other occasions including birthdays.

I love the Stitching Die of the Month! This versatile set will be one that I reach for often. It consists of two scalloped frame dies with coordinating rectangular dies. The rectangular dies can be used on their own or in conjunction with the frame die. This set also includes a sweet tag. The scalloped frames and tag are stitched, but they look equally beautiful without the stitching as you will see in my next post.
