Hello everyone! Oh my goodness! Spellbinder's SEAHORSE KISSES COLLECTION is a sweet and beautiful collection! I love seahorses!!! My cards feature the Seahorse Garden Clear Stamp and Die Set and Seahorse Kisses Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil and Die Set.
Several images were stamped with Versamark ink on Bristol Smooth card stock and embossed in white for both cards.
The images were faux watercoloured using Zig Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen.
The images were cut with the coordinating dies. The die for the seahorse was used to cut black foam and it was stacked.
For the first card, Gansai Tambi water colours were used for the heart background. I reach for these paints when I want bold colour. Several shades of blue and green were applied to Canson XL Water Colour paper that had been spattered with Ranger's Distress Resist Spray. To deepen the colour wash, two coats of paint were applied.
White card stock was embossed with Stylized Calla Lily Embossing Folder .... reminded me of seashells! The panel was adhered to a white A2 sized, top folding card base in landscape orientation.
A die from Essential Hearts was used to cut both the colour washed paper and black foam. The heart was stacked and adhered to the card front.
The sentiment from Seahorse Kisses Sentiments was foiled in Matte Gold Hot Foil on the colour washed paper The coordinating die was used to cut both the sentiment and black foam. They were stacked and adhered to the heart along with the stacked seahorse.
The card was embellished with clear pearls.
For the second card, Bristol Smooth Card Stock was embossed with Stylized Calla Lily Embossing Folder and, using a blending tool with light pressure, a gradient was produced with a combination of Distress Oxide Inks Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass.
The panel was trimmed to 4" by 5 1/4" and adhered to a black A2 sized, top folding card base in landscape orientation.
The sentiment from Seahorse Kisses Sentiments was foiled in Cobalt Blue Hot Foil on light blue card stock with Chipped Sapphire and Salty Ocean blended on giving way to the light blue for a gradient effect. The coordinating die was used to cut both the sentiment and black foam and they were stacked.
The three seaweed images were arranged on the card. The overlapping one was adhered with foam squares.
The foam mounted seahorse and sentiment were positioned and the flowers adhered to the sea weed.
Seashells were arranged at the base of the plants; some directly to the panel and others with foam squares.
The card was embellished with clear, blue and green pearls.
