Hello everyone! Spellbinder's Sealed for Christmas Collection is so beautiful. My card features Evergreen 3D Embossing Folder, Sealed Christmas Sprigs and Holiday Wax Seals 3 Pack. I love traditional Christmas colours but I also enjoy palettes that are a little unusual ... like this card! Colour is the spice of life!
Lavender card stock, 4 1/4" by 5 1/2", was embossed with Evergreen 3D Embossing Folder. The edges of the panel were lightly inked with Distress Oxide ink Hickory Smoke.
After the panel was dry, a white dye ink pad was rubbed over the panel catching the high points of the embossing. I repeated the process as the white ink will fade as it dries.
The panel was adhered to a top-folding, A2 sized card base.
Sealed Christmas Sprigs was used to create a floral spray. The sprigs and flower centres were cut from dark grey card stock. The roses were cut from lavender and the poinsettia from purple.
After the flowers were layered onto the sprigs, they were arranged onto the panel. I use a large glue dot to hold everything in place.
The flowers and leaves were popped up with Black Foam Adhesive Squares.
Next I created the wax seal using the Wax Seal Starter Kit and Holiday Wax Seals 3 Pack. For a video tutorial on wax seal stamping, CLICK HERE.
A gold felt pen was used to highlight the script on the seal.
The seal was adhered over the criss crossing stems with Wax Seal Adhesive Circles. This adhesive is very strong and holds the seal securely in place.
The card was embellished with iridescent, purple half pearls.
