Hello friends! Spellbinders’ Stencil of the Month, Colourful Expressions Garden, is a 5 piece stencil set that is straight forward and easy to layer. I love the the light and airy floral design. The card is finished off with a sentiment from the Small Die of the Month. Don’t you just love quick and easy cards?!
The August registration window for this club will be available August 6 for current Club Members. New registrations are accepted on the 10th of August. Registrations can be completed until August 27th or while supplies last.
Cream coloured card stock was cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2“.
Small blending brushes were used to apply Distress Oxide Inks. Salvaged Patina, a soft blue-green, was brushed onto stencil 1 creating the first set of stems and leaves. Another set of stems and leaves were inked with Faded Jeans using the next stencil.
For stencil 3, Dried Marigold was used for the flowers.
Abandoned Coral was applied to the fourth stencil which added in flower details.
Additional details were added to the leaves and flower centres with Stencil 6. The same inks were applied but with more pressure to create a tone on tone effect; Salvaged Patina, Abandoned Coral and Faded Jeans.
The panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base.
The words to form the sentiment from the Small Die of the Month were cut from cream coloured glitter card stock and white sheet foam and stacked.
The card was embellished with Aura Opalescent Sequins finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
