Spellbinder’s Stencil of the Month for July

Hello friends! We are continuing with Spellbinders’ Christmas in July theme with the Stencil of the Month, Sprigs & Bow. This is a beautiful set that can be used in different ways. The berry background can be used on its own …. or with the ribbon & bow as I have done in this card.

The July registration window for this club will be available July 6 for current Club Members. New registrations are accepted on the 10th of July. Registrations can be completed until July 27th or while supplies last.

  • A panel of Pink Sand Card Stock was cut to 4 1/4” by 5 1/2”. It will be stencilled with Distress Oxide Inks.

  • The stencil set includes a mask for the ribbon and bow. It was sprayed with Pixie Spray, a low tack adhesive spray and set it aside to dry.

  • The ribbon and bow were stenciled with Picked Raspberry and white pigment ink. The mask with the adhesive was put in place for the remainder of the stencilling

  • The branches were stenciled with Pumice Stone followed by the leaves using a white pigment ink. I did it in this order to soften the colour the leaf vein.

  • The berries were coloured with Picked Raspberry and then a thin layer of Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard was applied with a palette knife.

  • The foliage from the Small Die of the Month was cut from a combination of Silver Glitter and white glitter card stock. The arrangement was arranged with large, flat glue dots and then adhered with a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares.

  • The sentiment from the Glimmer of the Month was foiled with Opaque White Glimmer Hot Foil on Pink Sand Card Stock. It was cut with the coordinating die and mounted on a foam die cut. The sentiment was adhered to the centre of the arrangement and Berry Color Essential Gems were added around the arrangement.
