Hello friends! Spellbinders’ Stencil of the Month, Squared Away, is a geometric background made up of squares and rectangles. The shapes look like they are criss-crossing giving it the look of a weaving. This is a really fun stencil set to work with!
For November only, non-club members can join our clubs NOVEMBER 1st instead of waiting until the 6th! So, if you’ve been thinking of joining, now’s the perfect time! Woohoo!
The backgrounds were created on white card stock that was slightly oversized. Fresh Dye Inks were applied with small blending brushes.
Squared Away Is made up of five layering stencils. They are very easy to line up.
The blue background was created with Morning Frost, Polar Bear, Icy Winter, Winter Lake and Arctic Mountain.
For the other panel, Fresh Dye Inks evening Gray, Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet were used.
The panels were trimmed to 3 3/4”by 5” and adhered to A2 sized card bases that were matted with blue or pink cardstock measuring 4” by 5 1/4”.
The sentiments were pressed onto the same cardstock used to mat the panels with Black BetterPress Ink. Both the sentiments and foam were cut with the coordinating die. The sentiments were stacked.
