Hello everyone! I hope the New Year finds you well. I have a couple of cards featuring newly released die sets by Spellbinders; ADORING FLEURETTE CARD BUILDER and CINCH AND GO BLOSSOMS. These cards are done up in ivory with pretty pastel accents. I love die sets that are versatile and play well together. No matter the size of card, these two sets, together or separately, are perfect for any occasion.
Two pieces of ivory card stock and foam were trimmed to 8 1/4“ by 3 1/4”. Just the detail die for the pocket was used to cut the top and bottom of one of the ivory panels. This panel was was adhered to the other one and then mounted on the foam. It was stacked on an ivory panel measuring 3 5/8” by 8 5/8” and then on to a 3 3/4” by 8 3/4” card base. The medallion was cut from pink cardstock and foam and stacked. The matte gold sentiment was also stacked on foam. The vines and flowers included in the Adoring Fleurette Card Builder were cut from mint and pink card stock and adhered along the curved edge of the pocket. Vellum flowers from the Cinch & Go Blossoms set were shaped with a ball tool and molding mat by McGill. The centres were finished with stamens cut from matte gold card stock and an ivory Pearl. This card was embellished with small pearls covering the small circles on the pocket detail die cuts.
For the A2 sized card, the pocket was constructed first. All three dies were held together with Post-it Note tape to die cut the lacy over lay in mint card stock. The detail die was removed and ivory cardstock and sheet foam were cut to create the background. After these components were stacked, the pocket was adhered to first ivory panel and layered on a black card stock one. The card base is top folding measuring 4 1/4” by 5 1/2”. The sentiments was cut four times from matte gold card stock and stacked. The flowers from Cinch & Go Blossoms were cut from ivory cardstock and lightly inked with a dauber using either Tattered Rose, Milled Lavender or Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. Each flower layer was shaped with a ball tool and molding mat by McGill. The bird, cut from ivory card stock with ink and pink and black card stock accents, and the music notes out of matte gold card stock were borrowed from Spellbinders’ Just A Tweet die set. The centres of the flowers and the background were finished off with ivory pearls.
